To achieve substantial progress in any athletic pursuit, the SAID principle should serve as the cornerstone in their fitness journey. The acronym SAID stands for Specific Adaptation to Imposed Demand.

For example, if your goal is to develop larger and stronger chest muscles, engaging in swimming and hoping for the best would be of little use or no use at all. Similarly, if you aspire to become a fast sprinter, spending hours lightly jogging each day will not lead you to achieve that.

  • SAID principle emphasizes the importance of mission specific/sport specific exercises, movements, and training drills to force physical and mental adaptation specific to the activity being performed. 
  • Coach Judah James designs a custom training regime to target only those muscles and energy systems stressed by that specific activity.
